CALLING TALENTED NETBALL ATHLETES!
With the new season approaching Gold accredited Yendys Netball Club are looking to recruit players to complement their U16 eight strong squad.
This is a tough challenge for 15 year olds as not only will you need excellent netball skills as an individual but you will have to fit in with a squad of netball athletes that far exceed the average school-girl player. The squad has been together for nearly six years and in that time has developed into a competitive and committed group.
At Under-14 level they achieved an overall 5th place in the National Under-14 Championships. At Under-15 level they have come runners-up in the West Mids Regional U16 Youth League; Division 3 Winners of the Walsall’s Saturday Section and runners-up in Division 4 of Walsall’s Midweek Section, and runner’s-up in the Ribble Valley U15 age group.
The Club trains on Wednesdays at the Walsall Campus of the University of Wolverhampton – the training schedule is currently being organised. Training will start indoors on September 2nd 2009. The Club have five to six squads training between 6:00pm and 10:00pm.
If you feel you can offer the squad something then tell Syd – you or a parent can contact him on 07736 271 291. If you want to have an informal talk or know more about Yendys we will be pleased to help.
